GCW03 - Semi Covered Facade System

GCW03 Semi‑Covered Curtain Wall Solution mechanically clamps glass units to an aluminum mullion‑transom frame with pressure plates and cover caps along one axis, while the orthogonal axis is retained by structural silicone glazing (SSG)/concealed carriers, forming a pressure‑equalized, back‑drained façade. The hybrid expresses a linear rhythm on the capped side and a continuous glass reading on the cap‑free side. Two‑stage gaskets with perimeter wet silicone enhance air and water‑tightness; thermally broken profiles accommodate thermal expansion and building movement. Steel reinforcement is introduced as spans/loads require; single, double, triple glazing and opaque infills, together with concealed vents, can be integrated at module level. A factory‑to‑site workflow supports serial installation, and controlled removal of caps and pressure plates facilitates localized glass/panel replacement, maintenance and repair-delivering aesthetics, performance and operational efficiency for new‑builds and refurbishments.
