HPL01 - Adhesive Facade System

HPL01 Adhesive Facade System is a back‑ventilated, open‑joint rainscreen in which exterior‑grade Compact High‑Pressure Laminate (HPL) panels are invisibly bonded to T/L aluminum sub‑frames using acrylic foam mounting tape and an MS/STP‑based elastic construction adhesive. The tape provides immediate tack, joint alignment and adhesive‑bed thickness control, supporting the assembly during cure. Proper surface sanding/cleaning, suitable primer/activation, trial adhesion tests, and temperature‑humidity control deliver high, durable bond strength. Versus mechanical fixing, thermal bridging and corrosion risk are reduced, while vibration damping and planar continuity improve. Panels can be removed/replaced locally with controlled cutting and specialist tools. Joint widths, panel formats and wind loads are set by project‑specific calculations. In regions with heavy air pollution, the HPL’s dust‑shedding surface makes this the most efficient exterior cladding solution.
